My original poster design for one of Mozart’s most popular operas, die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute).
Die Zauberflöte tells the story of Tamino, a handsome prince, who gets lost in the forest of the Queen of the Night and goes on a mission to find and free the beautiful princess, Pamina, and win her love. More importantly, it’s an allegoric story about the ancient fight between Day and Night, Good and Bad, deploying character archetypes and plot elements of tales and old myths.
The sheet music at the bottom of the poster is from ‘Der Hölle Rache’, one of the most known Mozart arias and also one of the most difficult soprano arias ever written.
