Siamese bala shark – is a probably extinct freshwater fish that was endemic to two Thailand river basins. There were no recorded sightings of the species for more than 3 decades; the reasons of the extinction are overfishing for international aquarium trade and extensive habitat destruction: pollution, drainage and dams.
